Dental/Medical Equipment Technician

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Field service & workshop equipment repairs
  • Installation of medical & dental equipment
  • Testing & certification of medical & dental equipment
  • Design & build of medical equipment
  • Preventative maintenance servicing
  • Collection & delivery of equipment to & from clients
  • Sourcing, stocking & warehousing of parts
  • Asset management & record keeping - including reporting
  • Telephone advice
  • Work within contracts held with the University of Otago Dental School, Southern District Health Board and other hospitals throughout Otago/Southland & South Canterbury
  • Service, clean & test SDHB Mobile Dental Units
  • Assist with relocation of SDHB Mobile Dental Units

  • EAS, EST or electrical background an advantage
  • Possess a high competence level with Apple, Microsoft & bespoke PC software programs
  • COVID19 vaccinated & boostered
  • Comfortable working in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in healthcare environment an advantage
  • Ability to maintain privacy with sensitive healthcare information
  • Ability to write reports
  • Clean driving record
  • Automotive or trade background an advantage
