Risk & Compliance Officer

We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and enthusiastic individual to join the Finance Department in a full-time, permanent capacity as a Risk and Compliance. This is a newly created role that poses exciting challenges within the operational risk management area. NZCU South embraces applicants with the desire to work hard and learn new skill-sets under the guidance of trained professionals. Those who possess vibrant integrity and a passion for development will find themselves thriving within this role.


You will be working to uphold the existing Risk Management Framework and Business Continuity Plan. You will also review all risk-based policies and procedures within the wider organisation whilst ensuring legal compliance and management of the customer complaints process.


  • Strong communication skills enabling the management of internal/external stakeholders and members to positive effect;

  • Self-motivated and self-monitoring, with the capability of setting and achieving goals, adapting to change and responding to an array of requirements;

  • Familiarity with industry practice and professional standards as well as proven experience as a Risk and Compliance Officer or Auditor;

  • BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field;

  • Maintenance of a fresh and professional manner which shows character and stands up to varied challenges and situations;

  • Tenacity to achieve results within a demanding environment and prescribed timeframe

  • Strong problem-solving and management skills.
