Quantity Surveyor
We're on the lookout for a driven Quantity Surveyor to join our clients Dunedin-based team, delivering a diverse pipeline of specialist construction projects across Otago. This is more than just numbers, you'll play a key role in pricing, planning, delivery, and client relationships, making a real impact on every job.
The Opportunity
You'll be working across a variety of projects spanning:
- Sealants & waterproofing
- Membrane roofing
- Resin flooring & concrete repair
- FRP/carbon fibre seismic strengthening
- Grouting & specialist coatings
From tendering through to delivery, you'll be the vital link between site teams, clients, and management, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and profitably.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing accurate take-offs, estimates, and tender submissions
- Managing budgets, variations, claims, and monthly reporting
- Coordinating labour, subcontractors, and materials
- Overseeing site progress, QA, and compliance
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers
- Driving efficient delivery and continuous improvement
About You
You might be a QS, Project Manager, or experienced construction professional ready for your next step. What matters most is your ownership mindset and ability to deliver.
- Solid experience in a QS, PM, or similar construction role
- Strong understanding of NZ construction practices & contracts
- Ability to interpret plans, scopes, and technical specs
- Confident communicator who can work independently and make decisions
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
Experience in membranes, waterproofing, coatings, or specialist trades? Great - but not essential.
